Sage 200 News – Sage 200 Roadmap

Sage 200 Roadmap

Sage regularly host events around Europe and America to discuss their plans for growth and the development of their products. As an Accredited Sage Business Partner and one of the few Sage Strategic Business Partners in the UK, we make every effort to attend these types of events as they can be incredibly informative; the London Roadshow that we attended in November was no exception!

From marketing initiatives to Sage Live, Training & Accreditations and the new Partner Program, the areas that were covered were broad and interesting. However one of the most appealing sessions for us was the Sage 200 Roadmap. Sage are continuing to fund exceptional Research and Development into Sage 200, and this is apparent in their Roadmap of new features:

The ‘Golden Triangle’ – Sage 200, Payroll and HR will be brought together into an integrated solution.

Invoicing Module – Many users of Sage 200 that have upgraded from Sage 50 miss the functionality of the Invoicing module. Sage have been listening to their users and are looking to release this with the 2017 version.

Sales Order Status – Users are currently only able to review the summary status as being ‘Live’ or ‘Complete’, however there will be new states introduced such as ‘Part-Allocated’ and ‘Part-Despatched’.

Rapid Invoice Entry – Again this is something that users who upgraded from Sage 50 miss, but there will soon be a rapid invoice entry for Customer and Supplier accounts.

Purchase Requisition – This will effectively be a ‘Purchase Order Free Text Entry’ feature, enabling users to raise Purchase Orders without knowing the supplier or price. These can then be picked up by other users and transformed into an actual Purchase Order.

These are only a small handful of the features that are due to be released for Sage 200 soon. Many or perhaps all of these features will be included in the new release later this year!
