With each new version that is released, Sage are continuing to improve the already powerful and user-friendly Sage 200 software. New releases are being published three times each year and the Summer 2019 version has many useful new features. In this blog weâll be looking at the new and already popular Audit Log feature.
The Sage 200 Audit Trail List is already a fundamental feature within Sage 200 and provides a list of each nominal posting since the start of time for a Company.
However a requirement has been identified for a new type of audit trail for Sage 200, this is a different type of audit trail which will continually monitor and report on various changes that are made to sensitive areas of the Company. In the Sage 200 Summer 2019 version this requirement has been delivered, and the feedback that weâve received so far from our own sites that are benefiting from this version is all positive!
The audit log can be used to check for any changes that have been made to key areas of Sage 200, such as:
⢠Changes to Supplier Bank Account details
⢠Changes to submitted Purchase Requisitions by their Authoriser
For example, if a user was to change the sort and account number for a Supplier Bank Account:
Then this would appear within the Sage Audit Log and the filters can be used to search for the different types of changes, by user and by date:
Thereâs also a useful report that can be run as a part of your Period End routine, to check what changes have been made to data in your Company database.
Sage will likely continue to add to the areas that are included within the audit log in future releases and the Sage Roadmap continues to be a fantastic source of information for which features have been delivered, and which features are in the pipeline for future version releases.
Keep an eye out for future blogs from the team at AlphaLogix!
